✅ core functionality
Backplane bus electrical closed-loop (most important) RX3i rack PCI high-speed backplane bus, each slot must be installed with a real module or this filling module; If ACC310A is not installed in the empty slot, the backplane bus will terminate and fail, and the entire rack will report an error and go offline. Adjacent modules cannot be hot plugged.
Maintain the hot swappable interlock condition and ensure that the internal latch circuit of the module meets the rack safety interlock requirements; After installation, other I/O modules next to it can be plugged and replaced with power on; Without filling blocks, the hot swappable function is directly disabled.
Physical protection dust covers the vacant slots of the rack, blocking dust and metal debris from entering the backplane connectors, protecting the backplane gold fingers, and maintaining the integrity of the cabinet protection.
The appearance of the rack is neat and filled with empty spaces to maintain the integrity of the rack module arrangement.
🛠 Actual application scenarios
Scenario 1: RX3i rack point reserved expansion
Select a 12 slot/16 slot large base plate for the rack. Currently, only a portion of the modules are used, and the remaining slots must be inserted into IC694ACC310A, otherwise the PLC rack will report an error and hot swappable will fail; When adding I/O modules in the later stage, simply remove the filling module and insert the actual module.
Scenario 2: Maintenance of old equipment spare parts
A certain I/O module was damaged on site and was temporarily removed for repair. ACC310A was temporarily installed on the vacant space to ensure that the PLC did not shut down, and other modules could continue hot maintenance.
Scenario 3: Expansion Rack Configuration
RX3i remote expansion rack, unused slots also need to be filled with modules, otherwise the expansion rack communication will be abnormal.
