✅ core functionality
When there are not enough slots on the RX3i host rack for I/O point expansion, CHS392 is connected through a serial expansion cable to add 10 slots for deploying DI, DO, and analog modules, expanding the overall IO scale of the machine.
❗ CPU cannot be placed, it can only be placed on the IC695CHSxx host rack.
The local distributed I/O expansion rack can be placed in the same control cabinet or nearby in the on-site auxiliary cabinet to shorten sensor wiring and reduce cable length.
The left power module (PWR330, etc.) of the backplane power supply bus provides 5V power to all I/O modules in this rack; The on-site load power supply still requires an external 24V power supply, and the backplane power supply does not drive loads such as solenoid valves.
Multiple rack cascaded CPUs with up to 7 serial expansion backboards (CHS392/CHS398 mixed use), assigned rack IDs through dialing, and software Proficy ME identifies different rack I/O addresses.
