✅ core functionality
Power supply for the entire machine rack backplane+5.1V to power the CPU, backplane bus, and internal circuits of DI/DO modules; Flat cable high-density modules such as IC693MDL655 and IC693MDL753 have high backplane power consumption, and PWR330G is preferred.
Two onboard 24VDC auxiliary power supplies
Non isolated 24V: supplies power to the coil of the relay output module inside the rack;
Isolation 24V: Isolate the power supply to supply power to input sensors and analog modules, isolate on-site interference, and reduce ground loop problems.
⚠ Attention: These two onboard 24V power supplies are limited and cannot be used as external 24V switch power supplies for the entire machine. High power solenoid valves and loads must be connected to independent 24V power supplies.
Fault diagnosis protection for overload, overheating, output short circuit automatic protection, FAULT light alarm; Cut off output in case of malfunction to protect CPU and I/O modules; The power-off holding time meets the requirements of industrial short power outage without losing the program.
The wide power grid is compatible with global voltage and can be directly connected to the 110V/220V industrial power grid. It can also be powered by high-voltage direct current and is suitable for the working conditions of imported equipment in multiple countries.
🛠 Typical application cases
Case 1: A 90-30 complete system with high-density I/O (most commonly used)
Rack configuration: CPU+IC693MDL655 (32DI)+IC693MDL753 (32DO)+communication module. High density module backplate consumes a lot of 5V, and ordinary PWR321 has insufficient power, resulting in random crashes and module errors; Select IC693PWR330G to provide sufficient 5V power and isolate 24V to feed the DI sensor. Mostly used for sorting and packaging production lines on assembly lines.
Case 2: Replacement of old imported equipment spare parts
A large number of old equipment in Europe and America are using the 90-30 platform, and the power supply is aging and damaged, so the PWR330G is directly replaced; The G version is backward compatible with the old version PWR330, and the rack can be directly interchanged.
Case 3: Small and medium-sized control system with analog module
The AI/AO analog module uses a built-in isolated 24V output from the power supply to power the transmitter, isolate power grid interference, and reduce analog signal drift.
⚠️ Key usage precautions
Only the leftmost slot of the rack can be installed, ordinary I/O slots cannot be installed, and the system cannot be powered on due to incorrect installation position.
30W is the upper limit of the total power of the three channels, and not every channel can run up to 30W; when 5V reaches full power, the available power of the two channels of 24V will be squeezed, and load power calculation is required.
The onboard 24V power is small, and the solenoid valve and large load must be connected to an independent 24V power supply externally, without consuming the auxiliary 24V power of the power module.
Purchase spare parts and verify the version suffix. PWR330-G and old hardware versions can be directly interchangeable.
Fault phenomenon: The PWR light is not on and the FAILT red light is constantly on. It is highly likely that the module is internally damaged, which can cause the entire PLC to not start up and the I/O module to report errors.
