Core functionality
Hardware independent high-speed counting
The module comes with a built-in processor, and pulse capture, counting accumulation, threshold comparison, and output triggering are all completed locally in the module without waiting for the PLC scanning cycle; The CPU only reads and writes count values, frequencies, and status words, making it suitable for flow meters, encoder speed measurement, fixed length cutting, and trigger output scenarios such as Moore Auto when the position is reached.
Three working mode configurations (no hardware dialing, software configuration)
Mode A: 4 independent 16 bit counters; 4-channel unidirectional pulse; Each channel can set preset values, and reaching the preset values triggers the corresponding hardware output.
Mode B: 2 independent 24 bit orthogonal encoder channels; Support A/B/Z zero position marking for encoder position acquisition.
Mode C: One 32-bit differential composite counter, supporting dual pulse subtraction and differential counting, suitable for differential measurement scenarios.
frequency measurement
Directly measure the input pulse frequency, convert it internally within the module, and report the frequency value to the CPU, with a typical resolution of 0.1Hz; supports direct measurement of flow frequency signals by turbine flow meters.
Local hardware output (key)
When the count value reaches the preset threshold, the module directly drives the hardware output point action without the need for CPU program participation; It can perform high-speed in place cutting and high-speed limit, and PLC scanning delay will not affect response.
Gate control, latch, hardware reset
The external input terminal realizes hardware reset counter, gate control enable counting, Z-phase mark latch position, and high-speed event capture.
CPU interaction mode
Exchange data through PLC’s% I (module status),% AI (count value/frequency), and% AQ (issuing preset parameters); It also supports reading and writing module parameters for COMREQ function blocks, and supports resetting counters and modifying preset values for ladder diagrams.
