1. Be sure the power to the rack
into which the module is to be
inserted is OFF.
2. Grasp the module firmly with your
hand and insert it into the card
guide.
3. Align the module’s printed circuit
board with the connector on the
rack backplane and slide it towards
the connector until it has started to
seat.
4. Press the board firmly in place, but
do not force the board. Tighten the
screws on the top and bottom of
the module’s faceplate.
Core Overview & Upgrade Features
IC698PSA100E is the enhanced latest revision of the classic IC698PSA100 series 100W natural convection power supply. It is fully pin-to-pin and functionally compatible with PSA100/PSA100D, supporting direct replacement without program modification. Optimized circuit design improves stability, anti-interference performance and long-term aging resistance compared with older revisions.
Key upgrade: auto-recovery output protection (older D version adopts latch-off protection), wider adaptive input, and built-in PFC power factor correction with higher power conversion efficiency.

Provides stable multi-channel DC power for RX7i VME backplane, with industrial overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection:

- +12 VDC:2A maximum current
- -12 VDC:1A maximum current
Built-in AC_FAIL# power-failure detection signal, which sends early warning to backplane CPU and modules for data retention and safe shutdown.
