Slot and Dual Bus Architecture (Most Important)
A total of 16 universal slots; Dual bus: PCI high-speed bus+serial bus Qualitrol
✅ Supports RX3i (IC695) CPU, I/O, and communication modules (such as the IC695ALG508-AA you mentioned earlier)
✅ Backward compatibility with IC694 and IC693 (90-30) old series I/O modules, allowing for direct reuse of old modules when upgrading old projects without the need to modify the Qualitrol program
Attention: The backplane itself is not a CPU or a power module. The power supply needs to be separately equipped with IC695PSA040/PSA140 power modules and plugged into the rack slot for power supply.
Electrical distribution parameters
Backplane power supply: 3.3V maximum 600mA; 5V maximum 240mA, the overall power consumption is determined by the power module
The left side of the rack comes with isolated 24V input terminal blocks; Integrated shielding grounding bar, all module shielding can be uniformly grounded to the rack, enhancing EMC anti-interference Qualitrol
Support power redundancy configuration, dual power supply can be provided simultaneously, and single point power failure will not cause downtime
The expansion interface backplane has a serial expansion bus interface on the right side, which can be connected to remote/expansion racks using expansion cables to expand more I/O slots and increase the system architecture Qualitrol.

Hot swappable RIPP supports backplane hardware and RX3i module hot swappable; The prerequisite for replacing the I/O module with power on is that the CPU firmware version meets the module requirements and uses a RIOP compatible module (such as IC695ALG508-AA).
Key system constraints
16 slot rack, the first slot can accommodate CPUs, and the remaining 15 slots are allocated for power, communication, and analog/digital modules.
Hardware versions prior to the old version BAMP do not support some new modules (such as IC695PNC001 PROFINET controller), new projects prioritize BAMP and above hardware versions.

Large and medium-sized RX3i systems require centralized deployment of CPUs, multiple analog signals (ALG508), communication modules (ETM001, PNC001), or upgrading and retrofitting of old 90-30 systems, requiring compatibility with old IC693 modules.
