I/O point expansion (most importantly)
Provide 10 module slots for installing digital IO, analog IO, temperature module, and ordinary communication module; Add more IO channels to a single PLC to expand the system scale.
Limitations: Advanced intelligent modules such as PCM, CMM311, BEM330, etc. are not supported and can only be installed on the CPU motherboard.
Local expansion bus data exchange
On the right side, the 25 Pin D Sub female port communicates with the CPU mainframe through a dedicated expansion cable; The backplane parallel bus forwards IO data, and all IOs are processed uniformly by the main CPU.
Maximum local extension distance: 15.24 meters (50 feet); Beyond this distance, use remote backplane IC693CHS393 instead.
Multi rack numbering management
Onboard DIP dip switch, set expansion rack number; The CPU relies on rack numbers to identify various expansion baseboards, achieving cascading management of multiple racks.
CPU331/340/341: up to 4 CHS392 blocks
CPU350 and above (363/364/374): up to 7 CHS392 blocks
Backboard power supply carrier
Install the 90-30 series power module (IC693PWR321/331) in the left slot, which provides a 5V bus to the backplane and supplies power to all IO modules on this rack; The backplane consumes 150mA of current.
Industrial installation carrier
Standard 35mm DIN rail installation, IP20 inside the cabinet; As a rack carrier, fix the entire set of IO modules uniformly.
⚠️ Does not support hot swapping, unplugging modules/baseboards when powered off, and unplugging with power on will damage the backplane and modules.
