IS200VTCCH1CBB (VTCC board) is a 6U VME thermocouple input processor board for GE Speedtronic Mark VI turbine control system. It is designed for low-level millivolt thermocouple signal acquisition, cold-junction compensation, signal filtering and high-precision digitization, converting raw thermocouple voltage signals into real temperature values for turbine monitoring and protection.
This VTCC board provides up to 24 thermocouple input channels. It works together with DTTC or TBTC terminal boards for field thermocouple wiring termination. It supports multiple thermocouple types including Type K, J, S, T and E, compatible with both grounded and ungrounded thermocouple sensors.
On-board cold junction compensation eliminates measurement drift caused by terminal temperature changes. Integrated noise filtering suppresses microvolt-level electrical interference from power plant cabinet environments. The board supports Simplex single system and TMR triple modular redundant architecture, widely used for exhaust temperature monitoring, combustible metal temperature detection and over-temperature protection trips for gas and steam turbines. It communicates with Mark VI main controller through VME backplane bus, with built-in channel diagnostics for open circuit, sensor fault and wire break alarms.
