GE IC697ALG440|Analog Extended Input Module|
The module has a total of 16 differential current inputs, supporting 0-20mA and 4-20mA standard current loops, and can withstand a maximum input of ± 20mA. The module already has a built-in 250 Ω precision sampling resistor, and there is no need for additional external sampling resistors on site. The maximum allowable load resistance of the circuit is 250 Ω. When wiring, cable resistance will occupy the load budget, and the transmitter cannot output a full range 20mA signal beyond the limit. The allowable range for differential input common mode voltage is ± 10VDC, and the potential difference between two points on site cannot exceed this value, otherwise reading drift may occur.
The ADC is 12 bits and supports software oversampling and digital mean filtering. The hardware analog low-pass filtering has a cutoff frequency of about 16Hz. The software can configure the average number of samples to suppress electromagnetic noise in industrial sites. The entire subsystem, which includes ALG230 and all cascaded expansion modules, has a fixed update cycle of 2.4ms, not a single channel refresh time.
A set of IC697ALG230 can cascade up to 7 expansion modules, and 440 and 441 can be mixed and connected in series. The entire subsystem can achieve a maximum of 120 analog input points. All configurations are completed using MS DOS or Windows programming software, without jumpers or dip switches. It should be noted that the expansion module can only perform overall module scaling and does not support single channel independent scaling; Only the 8 channels of the ALG230 basic module can perform single channel scaling.
Under the environmental conditions of 25 ℃, the module accuracy has a full-scale error of ± 0.07%, a reading error of ± 0.1%, and a temperature drift of ± 0.005% per degree Celsius. The module backplane power supply is 5VDC, 0.4A, with a total power consumption of 2.0W. It only consumes PLC backplane power and does not provide 24V power to the transmitter externally. The transmitter requires independent external power supply.
The diagnostic capability only reaches the module level, with LED status indication, which can detect daisy chain link disconnection, module faults and report them to the CPU, but does not have single channel fault diagnosis function. There is isolation between the backplane side and the on-site analog circuit, but there is no isolation between each input channel. When there is a ground potential difference between different signals on site, signal crosstalk is prone to occur. It is recommended to add isolation devices at the transmitter end.
The working environment temperature is 0-60 ℃, the storage temperature is 40-85 ℃, and the humidity is 5-95% without condensation. IC697ALG440 is a regular plated terminal version, with the same model as the gold-plated terminal version of the circuit
