1. Dual channel redundant communication architecture
Equipped with 2 independent RCOM/RCOM+bus channels, supporting dual link redundant hot backup:
Automatically switch to the backup channel without disturbance in case of single channel disconnection or failure, to prevent communication interruption in the control system;
Two links can simultaneously transmit and receive data in parallel, improving the real-time transmission of massive point positions in large-scale oil and gas facilities.
2. Multi protocol compatibility and interoperability
Native support for two types of industrial standard protocols, enabling integration between old ABB controllers and third-party devices:
ABB RCOM/RCOM+: Advanced system internal controller, remote I/O station dedicated high-speed bus;
Modbus RTU (RS485): can be used as a Modbus master/slave to interface with on-site transmitters, frequency converters, measuring instruments, and third-party SCADA monitoring systems;
Supports Modbus standard function codes 01/02/03/04/05/06/15/16, complete reading and writing of digital and analog register data.
3. Industrial grade isolation anti-interference design
Dual channel independent optoelectronic isolation, with an isolation voltage of 1500VAC, separates the weak current of the controller backplane from the fieldbus circuit;
Built in surge suppression and EMC filtering circuit, compliant with IEC 61000 industrial electromagnetic compatibility standard, suitable for high salt spray and strong interference harsh working conditions of offshore oil and gas platforms and frequency converters.
4. Online diagnosis and fault alarm of the whole machine
The panel comes with status indicator lights:
RUN green light: The module is running normally; FAULT red light: communication/hardware failure;
The system can upload bus disconnection, short circuit, slave station disconnection, and channel fault codes to the upper monitoring system, quickly locate on-site communication faults, and shorten downtime for maintenance.
5. Rack modular hot swappable maintenance
The standard SC610 carrier board slot installation supports non-stop hot swapping and replacement, without the need for the entire cabinet to be powered off, perfectly adapting to scenarios where oil and gas units cannot be shut down for long repairs.
