Product Overview
The VMIVME-4140 is a single-height VMEbus analog output board originally manufactured by VMIC (later GE Fanuc, Abaco Systems). It is a high-density, precision digital-to-analog converter board built for embedded VME systems, industrial control, automatic test equipment (ATE), power generation turbine control and legacy VME system replacement.
Each of its 32 channels uses an independent 12-bit DAC. The board supports random non-scan channel updates as well as synchronous double-buffered updates triggered by software or external hardware signal. It features on-board DSP-driven auto-calibration and built-in self-test diagnostics, with status LED on the front panel. A PMC expansion slot is available for extended functionality.
This board is widely sourced as spare replacement part for legacy critical control systems, especially gas and steam turbine control platforms.
