❗ Note: PROFINET is not supported; EtherNet IP is only available on the client side and cannot perform EtherNet IP scanning on the main station.

3、 Typical application scenarios
Multi segment physically isolated networking RX7i – CPU with built-in network port for production control network; ETM001 is a separate module that interfaces with MES/factory information network to achieve physical isolation between control network and information network, avoiding the impact of upper computer on control CPU.
EGD high-speed peer-to-peer data exchange between multiple PLCs, with multiple RX7i controllers using ETM001 for EGD periodic broadcast interaction IO and registers; Big data communication separates the communication load from the CPU to the ETM independent processor without affecting the logical scanning cycle.
Third party device docking (Modbus TCP) serves as a Modbus TCP master/slave station to interface with frequency converters, analyzers, and smart meters; An independent network card handles Modbus sessions to prevent the CPU network port from being occupied by third-party devices.
Redundant network topology with dual network ports can be used for star and daisy chain connections; Support redundant IP configuration for industrial LAN link redundancy.
The upper computer, HMI, SCADA are connected to Cimplicity, and third-party SCADA use SRTP or Modbus TCP, and use the ETM001 channel to release the CPU’s built-in network port resources.
Remote debugging and maintenance are carried out through the SRTP protocol, and the Proficy Machine Edition software is used to download and monitor PLC programs.
4、 Key points to note
Only RX7i (IC698 series CPU, CPE010/CPE020/CRE020, etc.) is allowed, and it is strictly prohibited to plug it into the RX3i rack.
RS232 serial port is only used for module IP and parameter configuration, and cannot be used for PLC logic serial port communication.
Up to 16 TCP sessions are allowed. When there are many third-party devices, pay attention to the upper limit of the number of sessions, which may result in communication packet loss.
The firmware version of the module should match the firmware version of the RX7i CPU. Version mismatch can result in unstable EGD and abnormal SRTP connection.
