GCOM system level gateway, cross cabinet/cross controller interconnection
As the top-level communication hub of the entire Advant system, it runs ABB’s exclusive GCOM protocol to achieve high-speed global data exchange between multiple AC410/AC450 controllers and multiple sets of I/O racks, completing the networking of the DCS subsystem throughout the plant, exchanging global process parameters, alarms, and operation instructions.
MXB backplane high-speed data exchange
Through the DSBB110A/DSBB175 backplane MXB bus, massive real-time process data is transmitted bidirectionally to the local main control CPU. The independent communication processor shares the CPU load without occupying the control logic scanning cycle, ensuring real-time closed-loop control.
Multi protocol external third-party system integration
The expansion sub board DSCS141 provides multiple types of external interfaces, supporting Modbus RTU, Profibus DP, RS232 serial ports, to achieve data exchange and protocol conversion between DCS and upper HMI, analyzer, third-party PLC, frequency converter, and relay protection device.
Dual link redundant communication architecture
The GCOM bus supports A/B dual redundant channels, automatically switches without disturbance in case of link disconnection or cable failure, and monitors and controls the entire plant without interruption, suitable for high reliability scenarios in power plants and chemical continuous production.
Full port electrical isolation+industrial EMC protection
The backplane bus and external communication ports are equipped with independent isolation filtering circuits to eliminate frequency converters, high voltage equipment RF interference, ground loop potential difference, prevent communication garbled code and data loss, and adapt to strong interference industrial sites.
Large capacity cache, supporting large-scale point swapping
Built in 256KB Flash and 128KB SRAM storage, capable of caching thousands of global process variables and historical alarms, suitable for large-scale factory multi unit and multi workshop distributed DCS networking.
