The 5X00226G01 is an I/O Drop Link Interface Module designed for Emerson Ovation DCS, originally developed by Westinghouse. It acts as the critical communication bridge between the Ovation DPU controller and remote I/O drop racks, transmitting process control commands and field I/O data via Ovation proprietary high-speed serial link. This interface card enables deterministic real-time data exchange between the main controller and distributed I/O sub-racks, supporting both analog and digital I/O signal transmission for large-scale process control systems.

Powered by 24VDC supplied from the rack backplane with working voltage range of 21.6V ~ 26.4VDC, this module supports redundant dual-module configuration. When deployed in redundant pairs, automatic failover will be triggered instantly upon primary link failure, eliminating single point of communication failure and guaranteeing uninterrupted control for critical production units. It adopts opto-electrical isolation design between backplane and I/O link with ≥1kV isolation rating, effectively blocking ground loop interference and suppressing EMI noise in power plant and petrochemical control cabinets.

The 5X00226G01 features standard Ovation rack slot-keyed mounting and hot-swap capability. Maintenance staff can replace the faulty interface module online without shutting down the entire I/O drop or controller rack, cutting downtime during system overhaul and spare part replacement. Built-in module self-diagnostic function and LED status indicators continuously monitor power status, link communication health and fault alarms, helping engineers rapidly troubleshoot communication interruption or module failure.
