The VMIVME-7658 is a high-performance 6U single-slot VMEbus single-board computer developed originally by VMIC under GE Fanuc, now categorized as Abaco Systems legacy hardware. Built around dual Intel Pentium III processors, this SBC delivers powerful computing capability for demanding VMEbus embedded systems, upgrading performance from the earlier VMIVME‑7486 486 platform.
This active CPU board integrates comprehensive onboard peripherals: dual 10/100 Ethernet, Ultra320 SCSI, Ultra DMA/66 IDE, floppy controller, serial and parallel ports. It supports large ECC SDRAM memory, watchdog timer, and full VMEbus master/slave operation with system controller functions. It can work with legacy VMIC VME storage carriers including VMIVME‑7452 and VMIVME‑7455 for local boot, data logging and software deployment.
VMIVME-7658 is an end-of-life discontinued VME module. New original factory stock is no longer produced. We supply fully tested surplus and refurbished units as drop-in spare parts for mission-critical legacy industrial racks.
