Function
1. Multi protocol mutual conversion (core role)
Cross protocol data interoperability, connecting on-site instruments with upper level DCS:
Lower side: PROFIBUS-DP, Modbus RTU (RS485/232), HART, FF fieldbus
Upper side: Modbus TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, BACnet Ethernet, network port speed 100Mbps
Implementation: On site frequency converter/intelligent instrument ↔ DCS main control CPU cross protocol communication.
2. DCS system bus bridging
As a gateway for the transition between Advant’s old system and 800xA’s new system, it is compatible with the upgrade and renovation of old ABB field equipment without the need to replace field instruments.
3. Data collection+protocol encapsulation and forwarding
Batch collect multiple on-site IO and instrument parameters, and package them into DCS recognizable messages for uploading; Equipped with link fault diagnosis, LED status indicator lights (power/communication/fault), and disconnection alarm sent to the system backend.
4. Secure data transmission
Support SSL/TLS encryption, anti-interference and data tampering prevention for remote data transmission under explosion-proof conditions in power and chemical industries.

Application
Power plant DCS, chemical process control, water treatment, building energy self-control, and old ABB Advant system renovation and expansion.
