Emerson P152.R4 is a 16-channel digital input module designed for Emerson Ovation distributed control system, compatible with WDPF II+, Ovation 2.x and Ovation 3.x platform. This DI module is widely used to collect discrete field signals from switches, contactors, limit switches, relay status and dry contact sensors for power plant, boiler, turbine and other process control applications.

The P152.R4 supports both active 24 VDC field signals and passive dry contact inputs. Logic low level is below 5 VDC, logic high level ranges from 15 VDC to 30 VDC, typical operating voltage 24 VDC, with input current around 4 mA at 24 VDC. It provides 500 VDC electrical isolation between channels and between channel and backplane, effectively isolating field noise and preventing surge damage to the Ovation controller backplane. Each channel comes with independent green LED status indicator for quick on-site troubleshooting. The response time is less than 10 ms, and software filtering can be configured via Ovation engineer workstation to filter out transient signal jitter. Built-in diagnostic functions can detect open circuit and short circuit faults and send alarm messages to the control system.

This Ovation P152.R4 module fits standard Ovation I/O rack, also supports DIN rail installation inside control cabinets. Operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C, storage temperature -40°C to +85°C, IP20 rating for indoor cabinet installation. It is certified with CE, UL 61010-1 and IEC industrial standards, stable for continuous long-term operation in heavy industrial control cabinets. Hot-swap replacement is supported, you can replace the faulty module without shutting down the whole rack, greatly reducing plant downtime during maintenance and retrofit.
