Overview
The VMIVME-1150 is a rugged VMEbus 64-bit optically coupled digital input board originally designed by VMIC (GE Fanuc). It serves as a high-reliability discrete signal acquisition card for legacy VME-based industrial control, test measurement and data acquisition systems.
This double-height Eurocard captures digital on/off signals from field sensors, limit switches and contact closures, and transmits clean digital data to the VME host controller. The onboard optical isolation separates field wiring from the VME backplane, protecting the control system from voltage surges, ground loops and electromagnetic noise commonly found in factory environments. It supports flexible signal polarity and wide input voltage range, making it a popular drop-in spare for aging VME platforms.
