1) Fiber optic Modular Bus Bridge (Extended Communication Distance)
electricity ↔ Fiber optic conversion: Convert the electrical Module Bus on the controller side to fiber optic, with a maximum distance of several kilometers and strong anti-interference capability.
Topology: Up to 7 I/O clusters can be mounted on the fiber optic cable, each with its own TB840A.
Electrical side: Local maximum of 12 S800 I/O cards (AI/DI/DO/AO, etc.).
2) Redundant communication (essential for high availability)
Dual fiber port redundancy: automatically switch to the other when one is disconnected, switch ABB without disturbance.
Module redundancy: Two TB840A modules can be inserted into the same station for redundancy, in conjunction with the TU840 base ABB.
Hot swappable: online replacement without stopping ABB.
3) I/O Station Management and Power Supply
Module Bus Monitoring: Real time monitoring of bus status and fault diagnosis for ABB.
Isolation power supply: Provide isolation 24V to local I/O cards and protect card ABB.
