Suitable for most 5 V sensors
May be insufficient for typical 24 V sensors
Noise Reduction
For improved noise immunity, a dedicated power supply for the registration sensors is recommended.
Current Boost for 24 V Sensors (Series A & B Systems)
To improve performance with 24 V devices:
Install a 470 Ω, 2 W resistor across the common and input terminals of the 24 V registration input
This increases sensor current to >50 mA
If the sensor allows higher current:
A lower resistance value may be used
Power dissipation of the resistor must be calculated and verified
Notes
Ensure the registration sensor can safely handle the increased current before adding or reducing resistance.
