IS210BPPCH1AEC Product Introduction

IS210BPPCH1AEC (BPPC board) is the I/O Pack Processor Daughterboard for GE Speedtronic Mark VIe turbine control systems. It is the core computing unit installed inside UCPA (Universal Control and Protection Application) I/O packs, the upgraded successor of legacy BPPB processor board for distributed I/O signal preprocessing.

This PCB sub-board plugs into Mark VIe I/O base carrier. Nominal power supply 12 VDC with operating range of 9–16 VDC. It integrates an on-board temperature sensor and dual Ethernet IONet ports for high-speed real-time communication. Red and green ATTN LED indicators use different flash codes to report runtime status and hardware faults. It works in conjunction with a variety of I/O daughter cards including YAICS1B, YDIAS1B, YDOAS1B, PVIBH1B and YVIBS1B, performing local signal filtering, limit checking and voting algorithms to offload calculation burden from the main turbine controller.

Suffix H1AEC denotes H1 hardware revision with AEC factory firmware configuration variant, a later firmware revision compared to IS210BPPCH1AC. Conformal coated PCB is ruggedized to resist vibration, moisture and EMI noise inside power plant control cabinets. It supports Simplex, Dual redundant and TMR triple modular redundant system topologies. It works with ControlST / ToolboxST software suite for hardware commissioning, configuration download, trending and alarm management. Continuous on-board self-diagnosis monitors CPU health, internal power rail and IONet link status, sending diagnostic data and fault alarms to ToolboxST and turbine operator HMI.
