Function
1. Overspeed protection logic (core)
Two out of three (2oo3) voting: Three speed measurement channels are independently calculated. If any two channels detect overspeed at the same time, it will immediately trigger a trip to prevent single point faults from causing misoperation/refusal to operate
Dual threshold protection:
Alarm threshold: When the speed exceeds the set value, an alarm is triggered without tripping
Trip threshold: If the speed exceeds the dangerous value, immediately execute a safe shutdown
Over acceleration protection: detects the rate of speed increase to prevent sudden overspeed (such as load shedding)
Zero speed detection: monitoring of shutdown status to prevent false starts
2. High reliability design
Dual redundant power supply: Two independent power supplies, one fault does not affect operation, automatic and disturbance free switching
Channel self diagnosis: Real time monitoring of each speed measurement, power supply, and relay status, alerting and locking in case of faults
Hardware independence: completely independent of the governor (such as 505D, 2301E), even if the governor fails, it can still independently execute overspeed protection
Testing function: Supports online/offline testing to verify protection logic and relay actions, without affecting normal operation
3. Integration and operation
Local operation: panel buttons (test, reset, bypass)+LED status indicators (run, alarm, trip, power)
Remote monitoring: 4-20 mA speed output+Modbus communication, connected to DCS/PLC for remote status monitoring
Configuration: Set the speed threshold, voting logic, and alarm parameters through panel buttons or dedicated software

Steam turbines: power plants, cogeneration, industrial turbines (driving compressors/pumps)
