The Bently Nevada 3500/54 is a dedicated torsional vibration monitoring module within the 3500 Machinery Protection System, designed for the measurement and protection of torsional vibration in rotating shaft systems. It provides early detection and warning of torsional vibration–related faults such as gearbox issues, coupling failures, and shaft cracks.

Each 3500/54 module supports two independent torsional vibration input channels, compatible with 3300 XL series eddy current sensors or magneto-electric speed sensors. The module measures shaft torsional angle displacement and torsional vibration frequency for comprehensive shaft dynamics analysis.
