The baseplate of the PM860A controller provides the primary communication interfaces, including two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1 and CN2) for Control Network connectivity and two RJ45 serial ports (COM3 and COM4).
COM3 is an RS-232C port supporting modem control signals.
COM4 is an isolated serial port intended for use with configuration and maintenance tools.
Installation and replacement are streamlined using ABB’s slide-and-lock DIN-rail mechanism, ensuring quick and secure mounting. Each baseplate contains a unique hardware Ethernet address, printed on the label attached to the TP830 baseplate, providing clear hardware identification for system configuration.
